An internal Capcom asset dump names the next Resident Evil as "Requiem" — and the desk has eyes on the build sheet.

If the subtitle Requiem holds, the desk reads it as Capcom leaning into liturgical language for the first time since Revelations. The dossier pull includes a folder labeled Choir, and two WAV files reference an organ motif that maps cleanly to a 1988 Gregorian sample Capcom has recycled in five prior releases. That matters: it suggests a setting rooted in old European architecture, not Raccoon City.

The campaign tree is dummied across three regional builds — NA, EU, JP — and each one lists a single-player path under a folder labeled Vigil. Vigil was the working title of a 2018 prototype that former Capcom Osaka staff have confirmed was shelved but never destroyed. The asset naming conventions also echo the internal structure Capcom used for Village, which is the strongest signal we have that the build is post-2021 and not a hoax built from public materials.
