Great news, Resi fans! Capcom has finally lifted the lid on what they've been working on and have indeed confirmed that Resident Evil 5 will receive some brand spanking new DLC in the not-so-distant future. And not just any old DLC, oh no. Capcom are cooking up some extra multiplayer modes to run along side the already superb co-op mode. The first of the new modes is called "Survivors" and will basically be a typical four player deathmatch-styled affair and will allow you to frag your friends mercilessly.
The second and final multiplayer mode is called "Slayers" and will be a point-based Majinis-slaying contest. Nice.
You can expect the DLC to be released on both the Xbox Live Marketplace and the PSN. No release date for this first batch of Resident Evil 5 DLC has been disclosed as yet but I'm optimistic that we won't have to wait long. Sadly, no word on pricing has been mentioned either, but I imagine Xbox 360 owners will be looking at around 400 to 800 MS Points.
