A few of the more common queries that Resident Evil News dot com receives regarding Resident Evil 5, the highly anticipated survival horror game for the Xbox 360 and PS3, is: “When will Resident Evil 5 be released?”, “When is Resident Evil 5 going to be hitting the stores” or pretty much anything that surrounds the whole Resident Evil 5 release date subject.
Well, it just so happens that I have the official Resident Evil 5 release date right at hand; The official release date for Resident Evil 5 is currently October 1st, 2008. And while it may seem like a long way away before we reach October, just remember that there is going to be plenty of other Resident Evil goodies being released in the meantime to help keep us avid Resident Evil fans busy.
There’s obviously Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles for the Nintendo Wii owners among us. There’s the recently released Resident Evil: Essentials for the PS2 which includes some classic RE games such as: Resident Evil Code: Veronica X, Resident Evil Outbreak and Resident Evil 4. There’s also Resident Evil 4 for the Nintendo Wii. Not to mention the fact that Resident Evil: Extinction, the third Resident Evil movie, is due for release on February 8th, 2008 – which is only just over a month away. Be sure to pre-order yourself a copy before they’re all sold out.
Update: Capcom has revealed that RE5’s release has been pushed back and the new Resident Evil 5 release date will apparently be Friday, March 13th 2009.
