Resident Evil 5 Cast Members Revealed

In a recent article by the awesome gaming news blog, destuctoid, they revealed what they believe to be the current list of voice actors set to voice the main characters of the upcoming, highly-anticipated, Resident Evil 5 for Sony Playstation 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360 (and possibly PC – who knows?). The link is located at the bottom of this news post.

Please bear in mind however that this list we have available at the moment is not absolutely, positively, undeniably 100% official just yet and could very well be entirely scrapped at any moment at Capcom’s discretion. However, the current list of characters include:

Tara Platt – Jill Valentine
Richard Waugh – Albert Wesker
Sally Cahill – Ada Wong
Alyson Court – Yoko Suzuki
Michael Gough – Osmund Saddler
Wendee Lee – Rita
James Harper – Ozwell E. Spencer
Dan Cool – Steve Burnside

Notice some familiar names in there? Obviously there’s Jill Valentine who has featured in almost every Resident Evil game to date, but there’s also Albert Wesker who’s role in the Resident Evil series has only increased with every appearance he has made. Ada Wong also returns for another bout of zombie-slaying action but this time it might look as though she’ll be going it alone without Leon S. Kennedy by her side.

What I find most interesting however, is the inclusion of Steve Burnside’s name on the register; you may remember this poor chap who debuted in Resident Evil Code: Veronica (Sega Dreamcast) and later followed by the updated re-release, Resident Evil Code: Veronica X (Sony PS2). I personally found him to be a pretty interesting character when I first clocked eyes on him during his exploits in Code Veronica, and I’m curious to see just what exactly Capcom has lined up for him in Resident Evil 5…

    never trust imdb, this is all completly wrong information and to be honest i think they have gotten confused with resident evil umbrella chronicals, how can spencer be there? hes built the mansion from re1 and died. osmand saddler is also dead. the new re5 footage shows chris redfield, who is not mentioned on there. its definetly inacurate info.

    Looks Fake. I dont think Yoko Would be in RE5 and Tara Platt is supposed to be The Red Queen in the Umbrella Chronicles

    all i know is that chris redfield is going to be in there and also steve burnside is in there because when steve was fighting wesker at the end in cvx he said steve is going to be revived just like wesker was revived

    all I know is chris redfield is the person you play as and is the main chracter and also steve burnside will be there because in cvx when chris fights wesker wesker says steve will be revived just like he was and if thats not enough then go to wikipedia.com on resident evil 5

    Why is Osmund Saddler in Resident Evil 5? You kill him in Resident Evil 4. Weird. I can’t wait for this game to come out and I hope that it comes out for PC as well.

    but alyson court isn`t the voice of claire redfield from resi 2 and code veronica? why will she use her voice to Yoko? that`s weird….. hehehehe

    Steve Burnside is still alive because he has been infected with The T-Veronica, the second most powerful virus in Resident Evil, so why can he be killed so easily like in Code Veronica ?

    The list of characters is completly rong, the even forgot on of the main character. You can see her at the end of the gameplay trailer. ( … ) Remember this blond girl from Resident Evil 2 ? Yes she is back, Cherry Birkin. – And I think it have something to do with the G-embrio that she has been infected with by her mutating father ( pure conjecture ) -

    And about Osmund Saddler, even if it seems so sensless, it will be funny to see him back in Resident Evil 5 just for killing him again.

    What I find really surprising is Saddler! It’d be fun to see him in RE5 but I don’t want to have to deal with him again! I can somewhat understand Steve Burnside coming back because Wesker said that there was a way to bring Steve back to life. Plus, it would be awesome to see Sherry again! Plus maybe Spencer was brought back the same way Steve was. We’ll have to wait to see but I can’t wait for this awesome game!

    All this arguing is very funny and entertaining, and I suppose I will try my hand in it all and bring forth my thoughts…

    Obviously Wesker and Chris are going to be in this game. They have to be, ‘nuf said. But, if you haven’t played the other games before 5, Wesker and Chris are ultimate rivals and the series won’t be done ’til one of them is dead.

    Spencer… Most likely. Those who have played The Umbrella Chronicles know. But, for those of you who haven’t and don’t mind spoilers, Wesker hints at the survival of Spencer (For reasons unknown). Capcom wouldn’t do something like that unless they insured that a sequel in the distance involved Spencer.

    Saddler? My feeling on that are mixed. I didn’t enjoy RE 4 too much, for reasons I don’t even know. Putting my feelings aside, I really don’t believe in the survival of Saddler. As a friend and fellow survivor once said, it’s not the end until you blow it up. Well, I blew him up (About five or six times) and I think it’s pretty safe to say he’s not coming back (Though I could be wrong).

    Yoko is a doubt for me, ’cause in a certain scenario she turns into a zombie if you don’t play as her, or if she’s not in your rag tag group of survivors. BUT… She does play an important part in Umbrella’s ranks, so it wouldn’t come as a surprise to me if she returns. (My thinking could be that she monitors Sherry Birkin in her stages of infection…)

    Sherry Birkin is a definate. We haven’t seen her for seven or so years and Wesker DID capture her, so it’s about time that she resurfaces. Seeing on how the story of Resident Evil has unfolded so far, it wouldn’t surprise me if she had been infected from a virus based off of the one that Steve was infected with.

    The same goes for Steve Burnside. It has been a while since we’ve seen him, and Wesker has taken him as well, so it’s very probable that he will appear in this game. But, my thoughts are still seperated on whether he will be a B.O.W. or a human survivor.

    It would be nice to see Jill Valentine in this game, and based on numerous sources of RELIABLE information, I believe it may be true.

    It would be sad to see Ada without Leon, but besides that fact, it could be a possibility that she is in this game for the sole reason to take down Wesker.

    As for Rita, I’m not sure but I’m always open to see another character in Resident Evil.

    I’m hoping, though, that Billy Coen makes an appearance, as either an NPC or a playable character, in this game. He’s pretty much my favorite RE character. Michael Van Wormer, before the comment was erased, revealed that he would be the voice for Billy in Resident Evil 5. Now, whether this is true or not is beyond me. I do hope it is true, though…

    Either way, there was my two cents, and anyone who has read this far, I hope you have enjoyed my fanboy rantings of the Resident Evil series^^

    Well yeah, it’s pretty amazing how you guys… no, let’s not talk to much. But I can tell you, as a big big Capcom Fan, you’re dreams come true! No, I AM NOT JOKING.

    Wesker sure wouldn’t talk about Steve – seeing Claire againt maybe someday. I could even tell you the plot ’bout this Claire-Steve-Chris-Wesker relation. But all I’ve seen was a 45 minutes demotape and it was damn impressive – and you never ever now the deadend-changes Capcom makes. ;)

    So far ppl, stay tuned. You’re NOT wrong!

    hey why is yoko there I don’t think outbreak characters will participate in that game besides I read in an article that the girl in the end of the RE5 trailer was sherry. o_O

    IVE PLAYED EVERY SINGLE RESIDENT EVIL GAME EVER SO FAR AND THE ALL SUCK…… JJK THERE PROBALY ONE OF THE BEST VIDEO GAMES I EVER PLAYED THERE WAS ONLY 3 I DIDNT LIKE GUN SURVIVER 1 & 2 & DEAD AIM

    its all lies resident evil 5 havent had a release date set. Capcom has said everythings ready but they need to work more on the effects. The only character has been anounced is chris redfield. dont expect the game to be out in 2008. Probley released in 2009

    is it sherry i kind of had a feeling the girl at the end of the trailer was.hey yokos dead,spencers dead and ytf is saddler there,

    by the way i hated re out break file 1 and 2, dead aim i didnt like that much i like too stick with the major story line games

    now fellas chris is in re5 obviously, the girl at the end is sherry, f**k saddler, wesker is in it also plus ada helping him out too, also claire will be aditional player… on top of all this the virus is a mixture of re4 virus and t-virus, they are los ganados type at early stages of the game then become zombies jus lyk in the film 28 weeks later, the ending is the good part though wesker finally gets the kick up the ass, sherry takes weskers place in order of continuing her fathers work, american government hears about the outbreak, president orders nuclear attack, chris, claire, ada gets rescued by agent leon via plane, sherry escapes with mrX… bomb goes off. then in production re6 starts of in europe & japan………………………………………………………………………….the end…………………..
    this is as accurate as it gets you guys will just hav 2 wait n c

    also i might just add we fans really need a full remake of resident evil 2 and 3, or even better both of the events simultaniously combined and released, 4 main player leon, claire, jill & carlos, at the start we were promised full remakes then just recieved pity ports, need to stop doing ports just like re0 for the wii wat 4?? also a remake of dino crisis 1 will rock no doubt

    Actually, no. George Trevor built the mansion. Ozwell E. Spencer is the head of Umbrella, and to date, has not been seen at all. Maybe you’re thinking of James Marcus, from 0?

    And Steven wasn’t in Umbrella Chronicles.

    Wow wow wow…..
    Whats goin on ere just to clerify that sherry will be making an appearence in the game. Shes a goody who tries to put chris off from his task (to stop volcanoes from eryupting containing the virus) when he gets to the summit sherry pulls a gun out and says that he cant go and do it and cant tell him why because wesker has put a dormant virus in her which if she made a wrong move he could set it off. Sherry who is pieced together with a camera in her eye and a speaker in her ear so wesker can moniter her she completes her goal but since wesker is a d##k he wakes the virus and sherry has a time limit to live chris has two choices save sherry or stop the volcano……….

    i have supposed than Resident evil 5 is a cool game,the game have a diference entered the Re4,but the appearance is the same thing,the history is since the re0,this next time,the t-virus have spread by all africa,now Chris Redfield must done your quest? but this game have parts of hard things to do,when we play Resident evil 1 we can choice Chris,and resident evil:code veronica too.in these two games is cool to play with the help of chris,but now,you visual in 3D how in code veronica X have a big diference,now we must discover what have about all,than this game have.

    what i wana know is if leon is gonna at any point be in the game. wesker is my fav character and i am glad he will be making an appearance.
    but wtf is osmund saddler doing in the game?

    ok, just for the record, jill is dead and saddler is dead. chris is the main character in this game. wesker may or may not bring steve back, and no one, not even capcom, cares about the outbreak series or the survivor series and its characters. get your info right!>:(

    Steve is comming back?!?! this is great!!!

    Its sad that Claire isnt in this game tho D= Steve and Claire were a very cute “Couple” If you can call them that.

    Also Jill might not be dead, she could possibly be faking her death and going with a code name (okay probably not but being a HUGE Jill fan theres hope!!!) But Jill has one awards and has THOUSANDS of fans, leon was really popular and made steve die instead of him(I heard that somewhere not sure how acurate that is) but I just don’t think they would kill off a character as popular as Jill… :O

    You got most characters wrong. Albert Wesker is going to be in it but he is voiced by D.C. Douglass. Steve is dead. Saddler is dead. But spencer is in re5. Jill is dead, acoording to the new trailer. Chris is the main character. Why would yoko be in it? Who the hell is rita? I don’t think Ada’s going to be in it.
