Good news, gore fans: Capcom has made it clear that Resident Evil 5 is going to be gory. Very, very gory. Despite the fact that Resident Evil 5 is going to be shipping with a “Mature” and “18″ certificate, Capcom seems unrelenting in toning down the gore levels in order to lower the minimum age requirement.
Personally, I love a good bloody game. And if there’s one thing that the Resident Evil series is know for, it’s gore. Oh, yes, and zombies. But… mostly gore!
“We’re never going to create a gore-free Resident Evil title to try and get a lower rating as it’s a game about the horror experience and gore is part of that,”
insisted Rhys Cash, Capcom UK’s research and planning manager.
So, yeah, for those of you whom were worried that the bloodshed in Resident Evil 5 might have been toned down a notch: Fear not. Sounds to me like Resident Evil 5 could be the goriest entry in the series yet.
