There's also Resident Evil 4 for the Nintendo Wii. Not to mention the fact that Resident Evil: Extinction, the third Resident Evil movie, is due for release on February 8th, 2008 - which is only just over a month away. Be sure to pre-order yourself a copy before they're all sold out.
Update: Capcom has revealed that RE5's release has been pushed back and the new Resident Evil 5 release date will apparently be Friday, March 13th 2009.
The anticipation I had in my body before was so strong, I would have left my job to play RE5, but now all my anticipation and priorities are dying out and that is fooking scary, dudes! I need to have a talk with a priest. If I lose what I need in order to play this game...... I am going to be pissed!!!!
Well grim i do agree with what you say but you know there going to advertise it during october at the last minute because you saw the same thing when super smash bro's brawl did the same thing. Dude al you have to do is wait until the end of 08 and see if will start advertising. And gears of war 2 is not advertsing on the tv its only on the magizines and R.E 5 is doing the same. I really want to play this game also and see waht kind of badass live events will happen.

I just hope Capcom doesn't screw us guys around this year. I mean, we support them enough by buying the Xbox 360 or PS3 and the kick ass games. resident evil 4 was released for the PS2 in 2005. It was released for pc much later. Yes, I checked! I don't need to get my facts right before i post something, because I know my sh*t, kid! You would think that would be a smart idea with all the major sales they would get during the holidays but the bad thing is that if you come a day late then chances are there going to be sold out. But i would love it if they relased it in october because of halloween and knwoing the game would be scary then they would have a scary add for it I mean it's perfect to relase it in october Plus my Birthday is this october so im hoping this will all add up.

Jun Takeuchi, the game's producer, stated the Resident Evil 5 will feature similar gameplay to Resident Evil 4;[4] The player will control Chris Redfield, the protagonist of the original Resident Evil and Resident Evil Code: Veronica.[4] The game's environment will also play a significant role. For example, if Redfield suffers prolonged exposure to heat, he will begin to see mirages and hallucinations.[5] Also, the game implements various lighting effects. If Redfield moves between bright and dark areas his eyes will have to adjust, causing the player to briefly lose some visual of their surroundings.[4] The player will be able to take cover and dodge (using a similar control scheme in God Hand), a first time in the Resident Evil series. The Mercenaries mini-game, which was featured in both Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil 4, will also make a return in Resident Evil 5.[6]
The game will also feature new types of enemies. The extended E3 trailer revealed several sequences involving Redfield attacking hordes of fleet-footed enemies,[7] who possessed melee weapons.[8] Takeuchi has also stated the game's enemies will also possess human-like intelligence and awareness. Furthermore, he stated they will be different from the previous zombies and ganados.[4]
In an interview with XBOX360ISM, Keiji Inafune briefly stated that the game will feature some online elements.[9] Resident Evil 5's main story mode can be played with two players, in a co-operative online mode. The feature will allow players to enter or leave anytime during the game. Both players will not always stick together, and can be separated at points during the gameplay.[6]
