If you haven’t already had an opportunity to pick up a copy of the newly released Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition, or purchased the individual DLC packs way-back-when they were first released, well, Microsoft wants you do do so now. Resident Evil 5 is this week’s subject of Deal of the Week.
I thought I’d also include a quick run down of what to expect:
- The “Untold Stories Bundle” DLC is now 560 MS Points (originally 960)
- The “Desperate Escape” DLC will run you 240 MS Points (originally 400)
- The “Lost In Nightmares” DLC is 240 MS Points (originally 400)
- The “Versus Mode” DLC is now 200 MS Points (originally 400)
The “Lost In Nightmares” DLC is by far the best of the bunch if you ask me. I’d certainly still recommend going for the “Untold Stories Bundle” package if you have the points spare though, as this includes all DLC released up until this point — including all of the character costume packs.
Microsoft haven’t forgotten about their Avatar marketplace though — oh no! You can pretty-up your Xbox Avatar with a few discounted items of clothing, including: Chris Redfield’s uniform (160 MS Points), and a Resident Evil 5 Hawaiin shirt (80 MS Points).
Sadly, however, only users with a fancy-schmancy Xbox Live Gold subscription will be able to enjoy the DLC discounts. ‘Fraid that us Silvers will still have to pay full price.
