Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition Trailers

2 Comments January 18th, 2010

I will start by apologising for the lack of News recently, but i think this trailer more than makes up for that.

There will be some of you who have seen this but as always i like to make everyone aware of the current trailers and information.
As most of you will know Capcom are giving us all a very late Christmas present with the release of more download content to compensate for the disgustingly bad versus mode DLC!!!
The Gold edition will feature two new playable episodes, The first, Lost in Nightmares, pits Chris and Jill together as they enter spencers mansion, which will expand on the flashbacks we see in RE5, Lost in Nightmares will be available for download on February 17th on Xbox Live and 18th on PSN, along with a new costume pack.

The second episode, entitled Desperate Escape, follows Jill (again) and BSAA agent Josh Stone, as they escape the Tri-Cell facility to come to the aid of Chris and Sheva in the final fight with Wesker. This content will be available on March 3rd on Xbox Live and 4th on PSN, along with another costume pack. More good news for the collectors amongst us, on March 12th, a Gold Edition will be released: this will be a single Blu-Ray disc containing all content for the PS3, and a single DVD with a token for all of the released content on Xbox 360.
Now on to the trailer;
Correct me if i am wrong here but i could swear that "thing" attacking Chris and Jill is accompanied by a zombie!!! (1:42 in the trailer) Now if my eyes have not deceived me then this is going to send all RE fans into fits of excitement, especially as the majority of us crave more zombie action rather than the new direction the franchise has taken. Feel free to crush the hope i am clinging to if any of you know for a fact there will be no zombie slaying action in the new content.

    well i really hope it is a zombie. im glad im not alone in wanting the old resident evil back, dont get me wrong i like the new gameplat mechanics but the random out of the blue ridiculous las plaugblah blahs i could really do without. i miss the mutations and shuffling rotted zombies. i noticed this creature featured in the trailer was nice and mutated, id like to see much more of that. oh and there were some scenes with fixed camera angles love it. i always wanted a new resident evil with a good blend of fixed angles and a cam that follows, or wait for it... a player controled cam that jumps over the shoulder when your gun is drawn. and wouldnt it be nice to use a melee weapon that wasnt a knife? and no not that weak stun rod.
