Resident Evil 5: Director's Cut will make us of PS3 "Motion Wand"
In a similar vein to how Resident Evil 4 was re-worked to work with the Nintendo Wii's WiiMote, Sony has boasted of an interesting new feature that will be available to the PS3 version of Resident Evil: Director's Cut - currently set for the extremely vague release date of "2010". The new feature includes the option to play Resident Evil 5: Director's Cut using the PS3's very own "Motion Wand" technology.
Check out the following link to see footage of the game being played with the motion controller: PS3 motion controller footage.
Edit: I should also point out that the name "Motion Wand" was coined by journalists and is not the official name for the technology. Sony has not yet decided on an official name for the peripherals as yet. A quote from a Sony Computer Entertainment spokesperson says it better than I ever could:
"The motion controller, still not officially named, was announced at E3 2009 in June, and will be used in the “Resident Evil 5: Director’s Cut” when it releases in spring of 2010"
