Well, despite members of the Resident Evil: Extinction cast saying otherwise, a fourth Resident Evil movie is definitely very much alive and currently being shot. According to Shock Till You Drop, they’ve received confirmation that a Resident Evil 4 movie is currently set for a September 17th, 2010 release and will see the return of Alice and her army of clones. Also, Jessica Chobot of IGN’s Daily Fix was kind enough to reveal that the Resident Evil 4 movie is rumoured to be set in Alaska and Tokyo; while this has yet to be officially confirmed – IGN is normally pretty reliable when it comes to this sort of thing.
Update: Just to make everything absolutely clear: I am not saying there will be a Resident Evil movie based on Resident Evil 4. I am merely stating that a fourth Resident Evil movie is in the works.
They’d better NOT make that movie, it’s a waste of time.
Many people think the games are the same crap as the movies, so they don’t even try the games.
Why waste time making a movie people don’t like? And that has nothing to do with Resident Evil. At least, they should change the movie’s name!!!
I disagree, I think that the games are amazing and I never compare them with the movie. I believe that if they were too make the movie just like the game people would try and compare

hey, i like the movie! Besides the games and the movies are different. They belong to different franchise. And now that the movies reached the 4th installment, i think it's pretty clear that the movies have nothing to do with the game.

ugh, im so pissed off at the movie makers for this, the movies are not like the games at all.. the movies are based off the outbreak series, and even that is an extremely loose interpretation. and this whole army of clones crap is retarded.

Well, I dont have any hopes for this movie. I think they messed up the minute they made the first movie about a hive underground. The only movie that I think even attempted to follow the game story line was the 2nd movie. Thats just my opinion though.
Although I thought 3 wasnt the best I have high hopes that 4 will be good 1 and 2 were off the hook and I will be there opening day to see the 4th!!!
The movie is amazing, great action. And for the most part eeps most people at the edge of their seat. The games are amazing too. And one thing, the best part about it the movie and games are nothing alike. Why is that great you might ask. Because people will try to compare therefore getting upset. Resident evil made a diffrent story using the SAME characters. There is nothing wrong with that. Besides, as technology advances, the games are pretty much becoming movies in themselves. So there is no need to copy the game. The movie is great. The games are great. And i will certainly be at the midnight premiere of Resident Evil 4:Afterlife!

I love Resident evil too!. I cant wait for another announcement!. I a big fan of Resident Evil!. I almost have all of the RE games. I wish there is a game for Resident Evil Degeneration in Ps2 or psp.
the games r good, the movies r good! but its a shame tht the movies dnt take after the games. RE2 was gooood but could have ad more in it…
Capcom has announced the additional content for Resident Evil 5, due Feb 2010 as DLC and March 2010 as a purchasable disc complete with the original game and new content.
