i have to disagree thats not it sure we might not be able to stop it but atleast we can inform people not to watch and save a few people hours of their lives thats surely a goal worth pusuing :P

Yes, I agree bremner, have mercy on your life cycle and don’t waste it. I much rather recommend Resident Evil : Degeneration. If anyone has to say, say it when you already watched it.

Ok, forgive me if this has been addressed cuz i didnt read all the posts. But this is for the one guy way at the top who said thinking zombies suck or whatever.. and the the classic Dawn Of The Dead is one of the best.. correct me if im wrong but didnt the one guy remember the fake wall and follow them up to the roof? In my opinion that movie sucked. As did the Day Of The Dead. The new one too. Land Of The Dead was horrible! However, i think the new Dawn Of The Dead was the shit. It put a scarier spin on things. To have zombies chasing you like that.. I was like :o Lol. The same ‘ol slow moving zombies gets boring. No thrills, no edge of your seat panic. So i thought it was awesome.

I’m looking forward to a 4th Resident Evil movie. It will be great. I never really played the games, so i don’t know what to expect. It would suck if Milla wasnt in it, but i would buy it anyways. Most movies that are based on or around games that i have seen have pretty much sucked. I liked Silent Hill even tho i didnt understand some of it. Probably cuz i didnt play the game. No movie EVER goes along EXACTLY with a game or a book. Take it for whats its worth or dont watch it ;) Simple as that.

What sucked? at least they are more realsitic and original. Being original is enough for me because that means that the makers gave much thought about it and not some altered movie with a chimera styles.
Why would they put Milla in the games? that is survival horror games not Marver super heros BAKA Milla never needed a gun or a puny knife anyway. She can blast zombies with her almighty balding head Now that is SUCKS both literary and literally.

No, he should not have created a superhuman character role for her in an already character laden universe.

She is the epitome of a Mary Sue – hell, she’s not only flawless, she UPSTAGES the originial characters on a constant basis. Nobody else is nearly as good as she is.

In RE:Apocalypse, Anderson even had dialogue written for Jill stating this. “I’m good, but I’m not that good…” **** – let’s not overstate the obvious or anything.

No, most of us hope that Alice NEVER crosses over into the true RE universe, where characters are more human, and less Matrix like (mind you, not a slam on the Matrix, one of my favorite films, there’s just no room for it in RE).

Throw in the fact that Alice is the Mother of all Mary Sue’s, and add in that Anderson seems to take delight in ****ing on the integrity of the ACTUAL characters, and you have a set of movies (who knows how many there will be in the end…) that really have nothing to do with the RE Universe, except that they coincidentally have some characters with the same names.

I really wanted those movies to be something cool for the RE universe – but Paul Anderson ruined that for me, and I’m sure countless others.

Now – as for which FANS are which. Anyone that likes RE is cool to me – but unless you want to sound a little ignorant, it probably is good to at least read up on the series if you don’t play the games. It could certainly help you avoid people telling you that you’re an idiot- or whatever. Plus, there’s some cool story there.

i kinda have to agree with theoneyoulovetohate on two points “Take it for whats its worth or dont watch it Simple as that.” people are going to watch what im doing is imforming people who see a resident evil film title and think “that looks interesting i like those games” that its nothing at all to do with the games. and personally i like both zombies fast ones from the likes of 28days later are cool and so are the normal ones other than that the films suck milla is a good actress i think personally but alice shouldnt be in the films and whoever wrote the script should be fired as no one i know likes these films.

ive played resident evil games for many years now and i love the game mechanics prior to RE4 but ReS4 is a fresh breeze in a long lasting wind yo. But i wouldnt see the original thing disappear for anything but still keep the new. Legend of Zelda solved this by seperate the series on two paths but you still had to play both to get the whole picture but you STILL have the core style avaible! As far as the RE series concerned, i see RE:Degeneration as a back-to-basics, the long awaited thing. Yes the CGI idea has been around for a long time, i even played with the idea on paper little under a year ago. just for fun though but it made me realise CGI is perfect for RE if done right… Actually FFVII:Advent Children smacked that halfway into my head, but my point is the RE is seriously scary and CGI is the right tool to enhance that! BUT if the zombies end up looking like those looser ass discease people in I AM LEGEND then ill sell my RE4 special edition GC…….

By the way the RE4 movies so far is entertaining but not correct. But again, ENTERTAINING. so i dont mind their existence:)

I mean why compare resident evil with I am legend? they are not zombies, they are just infected by an genetically modified rabies virus; thus a whole different kind of movie. Altho I agree with you that RE: Degeneration would be a blast compared to other RE films as it will surely follow the real story and not just a made-up disgusting nerdy mary sue movies

Alice was brought in the name ’cause milla jovovich has a relationship with the producer, so he found a part in the movies for her…no more no less.

There’s only a producer who is able to create the PERFECT RESIDENT EVIL MOVIE, that person is STEVEN SPIELBERG. He made Jurassic Park, no need to say that suspence and mistery, the main themes of this movie, could be useful for a resident evil movie.

Paul Anderson is an unknown producer who pulbished in the past MORTAL KOMBAT (no comment) and that ruined this trilogy that could have been the best ever after ALIEN. with the right producer obviously.

Please don’t say that alien vs predator can be considered a good movie as the previous alien trilogy, it sucked badly. He was able to ruin also an affirmed trilogy with an existing plot, he has the “destructive” touch :)

Why would Capcom embrace something that nearly ruined the franchise? They are even producing a new movie on their own, which in my opinion means they weren’t content with the movies’ retelling of the story.
